The Larry Shaw Blood Sweat and Tears (BST) Kansas tour kicks off this weekend with two races in Kansas. The tour will invade Dodge City Raceway Park on Saturday and Dirtona Raceway in Hugoton KS on Sunday.
The stop at Dodge City Raceway Park will provide awesome racing action as several top drivers from Colorado will be trying to steal from Kansas thunder. Will and Matt Brack and the Hansen team of John and Brandy Hansen should be in attendance. The Dodge City locals such as Tim Leiker, Mike Lunow, Shannon Maughlin, George Tyler and Casey Wagner will be trying to keep the money local. The Gemmills from Oklahoma should be in attendance as well as some cars from the Lamar area. “We should have 30 quality modifieds from several states ready to do battle in Dodge City and Hugoton,” Joe Bellm said. Thunder Cars, IMCA Stocks Cars and IMCA Northern Sport Mods will be joining the BST Series in Dodge City. The pits will open at 4pm, and racing at 7:30 on Saturday night. The admission for adults is $12, $10 for seniors and $5 for kids.
Sunday, the tour heads to Dirtona Raceway in Hugoton KS where the same Colorado drivers and most of the Kansas top guns will do battle with their top drivers. Ryan Heger, Ron Rich, Shannon Orth, Perry Misner and Nicholas Link will be trying to hold off the Bracks, Hansens, Gemmills and many more from several states. IMCA Stock Cars will also run along with Hobby Stocks, Thunder Stocks and Factory Stocks. The gates open at 4:00 on Sunday with racing at 7pm. Adult admission is $8 on Sunday with kids $5.
Both days will pay $750 to win and $100 to start with no entry fee. Pit passes are $25 for each day. For more information on the BST call Joe Bellm at 720-422-5244 or Geoff Briggs at 720-219-3380.
