The Heartland Sprint Series and the United Rebel Sprint Series has joined forces to better 305 sprint car racing in Kansas and Nebraska. The Heartland Sprint Series was formed this year and will be competing at race tracks in Norton, KS, McCook, NE and North Platte NE. Those tracks now will be URSS sanctioned and will run under URSS rules and formats for the 2013 season.

“This is a good deal for everyone involved” said URSS founder Rick Salem. “They will be eligible to receive URSS National points and contingencies and also considered a separate region with points toward the URSS Heartland Sprint Series regional points championship. We are extremely happy they are joining forces with the URSS to make 305 racing in this part of the country better for everyone.” said Salem. Randy Bantam, a driver in the Heartland Series, said, “it’s going to be a win win situation for all drivers and fans and were happy to be involved with the URSS series.

The URSS Heartland Series will begin their season on Saturday March 30 for the annual Frost Buster opener in Norton KS.
