Registration forms should be ready sometime in January, and it is hoped they will be available on www.mccookspeedway.com at that time. Registration will be $40 if paid before March 31, and $65 after that. The first race will be on April 2 (weather permitting). Raceceivers will be used.
Sponsorship opportunities are available.

Outlaw Makes NASCAR History in Oklahoma |
|
Dec 22, 2009 - 10:16 AM - by Wiggy
|
MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA - NASCAR racing is taking a historic step into Oklahoma in 2010, as Outlaw Motor Speedway, a 3/8th-mile clay oval near Muskogee, Okla., becomes the first track in The Sooner State to gain NASCAR sanction. The track becomes part of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, NASCAR’s national championship program for weekly racers, and opens its season March 13.
“We’ve been in discussions with NASCAR for some time,” said Lynn Skinner, who operates the seven year old track with Danny Womack and facility manager Eric Shannon. “We’re proud to partner with NASCAR to be the first and only NASCAR-sanctioned track in the state. We are proactive in our promotion and this is another step to grow the track.”
“We are just like the Thunder (NBA) to Okalhoma City or the Drillers (AA Baseball) to Tulsa, we are now the same. To me we’re now a farm team of the New York Yankees as far as race tracks go,” Skinner said. “Every race car driver in... [Read More]

“We're proud to bring the Colorado Late Model Association series under the DIRTcar Racing umbrella in 2010,” said DIRTcar Racing Western Region director Chris Morgan. “Sanctioning a growing series like the CLMA is another key element of DIRTcar Racing's expansion. With the CLMA's location in the Rocky Mountain region bordering our DIRTcar series to the east and west, we are creating a bigger base of Super Late Model teams to draw from as we strive to create bigger, more exciting events for the fans and... |
Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (December 9, 2009) – With a banner 2009 season recently logged into the record books, Lucas Oil Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters officials have already been hard at work on what will prove to be an even better 2010 season.

Kruseman and Bondio to Field Separate Entries for Chili Bowl |
|
Dec 10, 2009 - 1:52 PM - by Wiggy
|
Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (December 4, 2009) – It has ranked as one of the most successful owner-driver combinations in Chili Bowl history. Teamed for eleven of the past twelve editions of the prestigious event that takes place atop the QuikTrip Center's Tulsa Expo Raceway clay oval, the duo has come away with the coveted Golden Driller trophy on two occasions and recorded several other podium finishes.
But, when the 24th Annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals takes place on January 12-16, 2010, things will look a little different, as that team won't be intact any more.
For the first time since 2001 and just the second time since 1997, Ventura, California's Cory Kruseman won't be at the wheel of one of the unique Andy Bondio No. 47 entries.
Bondio, who earned the first of three Golden Drillers as a car owner when Lealand McSpadden won the Chili Bowl in 1991, will still field a pair of entries for this year's Chili Bowl. Cali shoe Garrett... [Read More]

Thunder Hill Sanctions Four IMCA divisions |
|
Dec 02, 2009 - 9:01 PM - by Wiggy
|
MAYETTA, Kan. (Dec. 2) – IMCA Modifieds will be joined by three more sanctioned divisions when the division returns to Thunder Hill Speedway next season.
Saturday race programs at the 3/8-mile clay venue in 2010 will also feature IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods.
“IMCA offers a total package,” explained Mike Conkwright, who will promote the track his father Dean purchased late last summer. “Thunder Hill had been IMCA (from 1993-1997) before getting away from the sanction and we’d been watching them struggle with car counts.”
“We really like the rules and the economics that sanctioning with IMCA brings,” he added. “Our drivers will get better national recognition and will race for shares of national, regional and local point funds. I think sanctioning will be better for the fans, too, because there will be competitive, entertaining shows every week.”
Dave Brenn will head tech... [Read More]
