WACO, Tex. — The USMTS National Championship Series returns to the Lone Star State this Friday and Saturday, March 9-10, for another pair of $4,000-to-win blockbusters.

Over 150 Modifieds and Limited Modifieds did battle on the 4/10 mile, semi-banked, dirt oval just north of Ft. Worth with drivers looking to pick up one of eight qualifying spots in each of the night’s qualifying features.

STEPHENVILLE, Tex. — 281 Speedway at Stephenville opens its 2012 race season with the traditional Spring Fling special, featuring four IMCA divisions on the Sunday, March 25 program.

The IMCA Modified main event pays $350. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Smiley’s Racing Chassis Southern SportMods both race for $200 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks run for $100.

BEATRICE, Neb. — A pair of $1,500 to win IMCA Modified features headline the 19th annual season opening Spring Nationals special Friday and Saturday, March 16-17.

A minimum of $200 will be paid to start and both races are qualifying events for the 2012 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.
